MY WIFE PRAYS FOR ME! Before any operation, says convicted serial robber
A convicted serial robber identified as Idowu Dosumu, on Monday, said his wife usually pray for him whenever he wants to go for any robbery operation in Lagos.
P.M EXPRESS reports that the 34-year-old man, who was convicted by an Ejigbo Magistrates court is to serve 18 months in prison without an option of fine.
The convict, who is a father of one said he is a trained vulcanizer but had no clients to patronise him and so he went into a full time robbery.
The Ogun State-born man who will be going to prison for the sixth time said his wife knew he was a criminal, and that he is already used to prison conditions.
It was gathered that Dosumu was arrested after he burgled a house and stole a laptop belonging to one Dike Charles at 24 Falaka Street, Graceland Estate in Idimu area of the state.
He was charged and arraigned at a magistrate court where he pleaded guilty to the charge filed against him.
Dosumu told the court that when he was first convicted and sent to prison, his wife abandoned him with the children, noting that he had to steal to survive as well as to take care of his children since he didn’t have a job.
The prosecuting counsel, Supol Kenneth Asibor, informed the Presiding Magistrate, Mr. T.O. Shomade that Dosumu was a habitual criminal who cannot change, therefore, should be sentenced accordingly to serve as a deterrent to others.
The presiding magistrate found him guilty as charged and sentenced him accordingly.
