My mum, brother have same temperament, says Burna boy’s sister
The sister to popular Nigerian Afrobeat singer Damini Ogulu, also known as Burnaboy, Ronami Ogulu, has said that her brother and mum have similar personalities.
The sister to the artist, who doubles as his stylist, spoke about this in an online podcast known as Culture Custodian
She stated that Burnaboy is an excellent person to relate to as he is very cheerful.
Ronami, who studied at the University of Durham and Imperial College, had a dream of working at the World Bank, but along the line, switched to helping her brother achieve his dreams alongside their mother.
While speaking about her brother and mother’s personalities, she said, “ I feel like my mum and brother have the same temperament, which is like really cold or really hot, and the flip side is that they are the nicest people.
“Damini would walk into a room and greet everybody. I am not like that. I would come into a room and say, hi, everyone and sit down.
“Damien, on the other hand, would go to everyone individually and greet them. “
Ronami further stated that as a team working for their brother’s success, they work together.
She said, “My point is that everyone brings something to the table, and I think it also works because we are all a bit crazy.
“ It also shows in the people we hire, like all bands; if you watch all our BTS content for this tour, you will see it.”
BurnaBoy started his 2024 tour titled, ‘I Told Them’ in January, and he is expected to make $26 million (44 billion Naira) from then till July 2024.
In July, the Afrobeat artist sold out the London Stadium, which has a total capacity of 80 thousand people for one of his concerts, and the tickets were sold between the range of 60 pounds to 90 pounds per person.
Arithmetically, it means the singer generated between 5 million pounds to over 7 million pounds.
