Buhari felicitates with Tinubu at 68

President Bola Tinubu has stated that his administration represents a continuation of the government led by his predecessor, the late Muhammadu Buhari.

Addressing 36 state coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the President characterised Buhari as a partner in leadership, suggesting that the transition between both governments should be viewed as seamless rather than a departure.

While speaking at the meeting, Tinubu emphasised that his assumption of office did not mark a break from the past administration but rather an extension of it.

He said, “The truth is I took over from myself. The late Buhari is me; he was a partner. If I took over from him, is that not from myself?”

The President also acknowledged the difficulties confronting the nation, calling on Nigerians and members of the RHA to remain patient and supportive of ongoing reforms.

“If something is wrong, fine live with it, correct it, move on. It’s not going to be easy,” Tinubu stated.

He reassured his supporters that the current sacrifices would ultimately produce positive results, expressing confidence in the direction of his administration.

“So many of you that are travelling with me, I can stand before you, you will not regret it,” he added.

The meeting was attended by key government figures, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and other party leaders.
