The lawyer representing the family of the late singer and rapper Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, Wahab Shittu (SAN), has said that Mohbad sustained injuries from the altercation with a friend of the late artist, primeboy.
Ibrahim Owodunni, also known as Primeboy, was named as one of the suspects involved in the case of Mohbad’s death and has been detained multiple times in connection to the case.
The lawyer speaking after the coroner inquest in Ikorodu on Wednesday revealed that three truths came out from the inquest today.
He noted that the testimonies from Mohbad’s assistant, Darosa, make the case more straightforward.
Shittu said, “Well, Darosa’s (MohBad’s PA) testimony clarifies the coast. In proceedings of this nature, we should be concerned with nature; we are not here because of sentiments.”
“We are here to find out the cause and manner of death, and Darosa has been able to beam light in some of these issues.”
“Today, three things were revealed from Darosa’s testimony, which is; one, Mohbad sustained injuries from his scuffle with Primeboy.
“Two, a nurse was called in who injected Mohbad.
“Three, Mohbad and his wife used to have occasional misunderstandings.
“So the question we want to ask ourselves is whether an injury can lead to the death of a person.”
Recall that Mohbad’s family had requested for another autopsy to be conducted after the result of the earlier autopsy conducted by the government allegedly failed to determine the cause of death.
Mohbad died on September 12 at the age of 27, with circumstances surrounding his death sparking controversies on social media.
