Sex in the car

The Assistant Commissioner of Police, Yomi Shogunle, has affirmed that it is not a crime to have sex in a car in a public place in Nigeria.

He further gave some criteria to back his assertions. He said you can have sex in public if

1. Location is not a place of worship
2. Parties are 18 yrs+
3. The act is consensual (agreed to by parties)
4. Parties are of the opposite sex

He also said that if threatened with arrest please contact the Public Complaint Rapid Response Unit.

Shogunle said this while responding to a question by one Twitter user, @Stanley_Moses13 who said;

“Oga @YomiShogunle please is it a crime to have sex in your car?”

Earlier viral photos of a young man and woman caught pants down in a car surfaced on online.

The photos have since courted controversies bothering on if the Nigerian law permits sexual acts in the car.
