Mike Tyson confirms he’s training to get back in the boxing ring
Mike Tyson has revealed he has been training with a view to making a return to the ring in some boxing exhibitions.
The former undisputed world heavyweight champion has not fought professionally since retiring after the sixth round of his bout with Kevin McBride in 2005.
Tyson’s troubles with drug addiction have been well documented since, but the 53-year-old is now eyeing a comeback in aid of charity.
And speaking to rapper T.I. on Instagram Live, Tyson said he had already been doing some pad work alongside some intense sessions in the gym.
“I’ve been hitting the mitt for the last two weeks,” he said.
“That’s been tough. My body is really jacked up, really sore from hitting the mitt.”
