Kidnappers kill five-year-old abducted in Kano despite collecting ransom
The abductors of five-year-old Hanifa Abubakar have killed her despite collecting part of the N6million ransome demanded.
Her uncle, Suraj Suleiman, confirmed the killing and recovery of her remains at a mushroom private school in Tudunwada, Nasarawa local government area of Kano State.
According to Suraj, the abductor first took her to his wife who refused to keep her.
The abductors were arrested around Zaria Road in Kano on Wednesday while attempting to collect the second tranche of the ransom.
Hanifa was abducted on December 4, 2021 by kidnappers, who came in a commercial tricycle and lured her to enter for a joyride.
The incident occurred at 5pm when she and other neighborhood children were returning from an Islamic school.
