The Federal Government on Friday announced that it has reviewed the cost of single-phase prepaid meter from its current rate of N44,896.17 to N58,661.69.
This was disclosed in a circular issued by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission on dated November 11, 2021.
The memo, which was addressed to NERC managing directors, all electricity distribution companies as well as all meter asset providers, further stated the current rate of a three-phase meter has also been revised from N82,855.19 to N109,684.36.
The circular, with reference number NERC/REG/MAP/GEN/751/2, was entitled ‘Review of the unit price of end-use meters under the Meter Asset Provider and National Mass Metering Regulations’.
The document also disclosed emphatically that the new rate takes effect immediately from November 15, 2021.
