Bandits kill Miyetti Allah chairman in Abuja

The Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders’ Association of Nigeria, Gwagwalada council, Adamu Aliyu, has been reportedly murdered by suspected bandits.

According to DailyTrust, the late MACBAN chair was murdered near Daku Village, Dobi area of Gwagwalada, Abuja, last Thursday.

At least three other people were also said to have been abducted during the attack, while three others were injured.

The secretary of MACBAN, Usman Mohammed, confirmed the incident, adding that the injured victims are receiving treatment at the University Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada.

According to Mohammed, the names of the deceased are Saleh, Aliyu, Muhammadu and Saidu.

“They were returning from Izom market in Niger state where they went to sell cows, until just one kilometre to Daku village when the bandits suddenly emerged from the bush and opened fire on the truck, killing the MACBAN chairman and four others,” he said.

The deceased has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
