Army school offers free medical service to 5,000 Kaduna residents
No fewer than 5,000 residents of Adara community in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State have benefitted from the free medical services of the Nigerian Army School of Artillery (NASA) Kachia.
The medical outreach, which is expected to end on Saturday, December 21, included general consultation, diabetic, blood pressure and general eye screenings.
The general eye screening also included issuance of prescription eyeglasses and cataract Screening.
The medical outreach also included surgery, dental screening and care while those with advanced medical conditions will be referred to appropriate hospitals for surgery.
The Commandant of NASA, Maj.-Gen. Taritimiye Gagariga, in his remarks, said the outreach is a way of giving back to the society that seriously needs medical care.
Gagariga explained that the outreach is also part of the Army’s Civil-Military coordination activities.
He explained that over 5,000 people stand to benefit from the exercise, adding that more than 2,000 have already been attended to.
