The National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, has dismissed claims suggesting he met with former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, in a bid to form a political alliance ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, September 23, MC Oluomo addressed a viral image circulating on social media, which purportedly shows him with Peter Obi.

He clarified that the image had been doctored and described the report as entirely unfounded.

“I categorically state that this report is entirely false and has no basis. Multiple fact-checking platforms and blogs have already debunked this claim, revealing that the image had been photoshopped. There is no evidence of any meeting or congratulatory message from Peter Obi to me,” he stated.

Oluomo also refuted reports alleging that Obi paid him a courtesy visit or expressed an intention to collaborate with him politically. He maintained that there has been no such interaction between them.

“I am currently abroad, and any claims suggesting otherwise are baseless. I urge the public to disregard this false news and rely on credible sources of information. I reaffirm my support for HE Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Hope Agenda,” he added.

MC Oluomo, a well-known supporter of President Tinubu, has consistently aligned himself with the president’s political direction. He also recently endorsed Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu, as a potential future governor of Lagos State.
