A 40-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly defiling his nine-year-old stepdaughter in Igwuruta, in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The arrest of the man, whose name could not be ascertained yet, came after a concerned lady raised an alarm on Facebook claiming the mother of the victim was attempting to cover up the case.

According to the lady who raised the alarm, the suspect claimed he started having sex with the girl because her mom was denying him sex.
