Malaysia Airlines has secured two major honours at the 2026 World MICE Awards, earning the titles of World’s Best MICE Airline and Asia’s Best MICE Airline for the first time.
The awards were presented at a gala ceremony in Jamaica on October 12, recognising the airline’s growing presence in the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) travel sector.
The double victory represents a significant achievement for Malaysia Airlines as it strengthens its position in the corporate travel market and expands its engagement with businesses and industry partners.
The recognition also supports the wider commercial ambitions of Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), the airline’s parent company, as it works to build confidence among corporate clients and travel industry stakeholders through dependable services and improved operational performance.
MAG’s Airline Business chief executive, Bryan Foong, described the achievement as “an important milestone”. He acknowledged the contributions of employees across the group and highlighted the importance of maintaining consistent service standards while strengthening partnerships with travel industry players.
The latest awards add to a growing list of recognitions received by MAG across several markets. The group has earned distinctions for customer experience in Malaysia, brand recognition in South Korea and Hong Kong, as well as honours at the Skytrax World Airline Awards.
Operational reliability has also remained an important part of the airline’s efforts to strengthen its market position. Malaysia Airlines recorded an average on-time performance of 91.7 per cent in 2026, with punctuality improving to 94.16 per cent in September.
Strong punctuality is particularly important in the MICE sector, where corporate travellers and event organisers often depend on carefully coordinated schedules and reliable transport arrangements.
The airline’s latest achievement comes as MAG advances its Long Term Business Plan 3.0, a strategic initiative aimed at positioning Malaysia’s flag carrier among the world’s top 10 airlines by 2030.
With the latest international and regional accolades, Malaysia Airlines is seeking to build on its service reputation, deepen relationships with corporate travel partners and strengthen its competitiveness in the global aviation industry.
