Makinde approves Prince Ghandi as new Soun of Ogbomoso
Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has officially named Prince Afolabi Ghandi Olaoye as the newly appointed Soun-elect of Ogbomosoland.
This announcement was made by Hon. Olusegun Olayiwola, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, in a statement released on Saturday. It stated that the selection process for this esteemed position adhered to the legal protocols and regulations.
In his statement, Governor Makinde extended his warm congratulations to the Soun-elect, recognizing the significance of his ascension to the ancestral throne.
“His Excellency congratulates the new Soun-elect on his ascension to the throne of his forebears,” the statement said
The Commissioner also appealed to all Ogbomoso residents, urging them to collaborate with the newly appointed monarch to build upon the achievements of his predecessors and advance the well-being of the region.
