A man suffering from mental disease has reportedly beheaded six people in Rivers State.

The madman, simply identified as Eligwe, went on a killing spree around 11pm on Tuesday, 30 April 2019 in Ebiriba 2 Community.

According to reports, residents in the community had placed Eligwe in chains for a while but his family members later untied him.

Shortly afterwards, he picked up a sharp cutlass and headed to his neighbour’s house, where he beheaded four children and put their heads in a bucket.

On his way home, he met and beheaded a septuagenarian.

Youths in the community later mobilized and killed him too.
