Nigeria’s super rapper, Jude Abaga, fondly called as M.I or M.I Abaga, is 35-years-old today!

The hip-hop star was born on October 4, 1981 in Jos.

M.I, who is the chief executive officer of record label Chocolate City, took to his Instagram page few hours ago to wish himself happy birthday.

He wrote, “Happy birthday Jude. You are going to see the world, share your heart, make mistakes, fall in love, sing a song, try and fail, try and win.. keep growing, never stop laughing, don’t let them steal your joy, don’t let them kill your kindness… eat love love laugh jump fly sing shout.. happy birthday.”

 

The Best Hip Hop and Best New Act at the 2009 MTV Africa Music Awards also shared some cute photos of how he began his music career way back in Jos.

M.I rose to stardom in 2006 when his debut single ‘Crowd mentality’ became popular in his hometown, Jos.

Followed with the release of ‘Safe’ featuring Djinee, he brought life to rap music in the Nigerian entertainment industry.

The track became an instant hit all over the country and on December 11, 2008, the rapper released his debut album, ‘Talk About It’.

In the mood of his birthday celebration, M.I also shared picture of the guy that taught him how to rap. According to him, the guy’s name is Emmanuel Byo.
