#LekkiTollGate: Animals can’t dash us human right, Charly Boy says
Veteran Nigerian musician, Charly Boy aka Areafada, has reacted as the Lagos State Government deployed police to prevent the #OccupyLekkiTollGate protest today.
In a Tweet on his verified Twitter handle, Areafada argued that Lagosians have the right to peaceful protests despite the fact that Nigeria has been turned into a jungle.
The Our Mumu Don Do singer pitched his tent behind the #OccupyLekki protesters by saying “no to #lekkitollgate reopening.”
“I know these animals have turned Nigeria into a Jungle. But peaceful protest is still our human right. Animals can’t dash us human right. Say no to #lekkitollgate reopening,” he tweeted.

At least 10 #OccupyLekkiTollGate protesters have been reportedly arrested at the protest ground this morning by officers of the Lagos State Police Command, according to the PUNCH.
The #OccupyLekkiTollGate protest is against the reopening of the Lekki toll gate following the approval of the judicial Panel of Inquiry set up by the Lagos State government to investigate the October 2020 Lekki shooting incident.
