Lagos accident victim stranded as rescuers steal N8000 from him [Video]
Ever heard of stealing from the dead? Yes, people steal from the dead at home or on the highway, including dead accident victims. If no respect is reserved for the dead, how much more an accident survivor?
This is the sad reality a motorcycle rider in Ikorodu area of Lagos was forced to come to terms with on Thursday morning when he was knocked down by the tyre of a moving vehicle.
It was gathered that the man was riding his bike when a loose tyre from a moving vehicle crashed into him resulting in an accident which prompted passersby to quickly rush down to help him. But the help from the passersby turned into the scare of the day for him when a thief among his rescuers robbed him in the process of lifting him off the road.
It turned out that one of those who had gathered to help him was an unknown looter who allegedly dipped hands into the pocket of the accident victim and stole N8000 from him.

A social media user shared a video of the stranded man sitting by the roadside as other sympathisers gathered looking puzzled over the bizarre incident.
The social media user wrote:
“This accident happened this morning in Ikorodu. The car tyre pulled out on motion and knocked down the bike man.
“In the process of helping the guy away from the road, someone dipped hands inside his pocket and stole his N8000 despite all the injury sustained.“
