A Nigerian lady has taken to Twitter to share wads of Biafran notes she found in her father’s house.

The lady, who uses the moniker @icekreem on Twitter, posted photos of the clean notes and coins used during the nation’s civil war that lasted from 6 July 1967 to 15 January 1970.

Posting the photos online on Twitter, she wrote;

”Found ancient Biafran currencies in my father’s house! These notes are over 60 years old and quite beautiful to say the least

“Biafran pounds and shillings

“50kobo and one Naira notes. Throwback to when these notes had value”
