KWARA STATE! Like Saraki, Gov. Abdulfatah Ahmed dumps APC for PDP

Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, has announced his defection from the ruling All Progressive Congress to the People’s Democratic Party.

The news of his defection comes barely twenty minutes after Senate President, Bukola Saraki, dumped the APC too.

Abdulfatah Ahmed said following due consultation he has realized that the ruling APC “can no longer serve as a platform for achieving the aspirations and expectations of his people”.

This was contained in a statement shared on the governor’s official Twitter page.

The statement reads:

“Following due consultations with the people and in response to calls by major stakeholder groups in the state, Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed today defected to the People’s Democratic Party(PDP), having realized that the All Progressive Congress (APC) can no longer serve as a platform for achieving the aspirations and expectations of his people.”
