Nigerian film producer Kunle Afolayan has secured a new partnership with Ghana’s film industry for his popular series, ‘Anikulapo.’

The partnership is led by Juliet Yaa Asantewa Asante, the Chief Executive Officer of Ghana’s National Film Authority and Board Chair of the National Film and Television Institute.

In a recent discussion, Asantewa Asante revealed that the collaboration has already begun as Afolayan starts filming the third season of the ‘Anikulapo’ series. As part of the partnership, Asante visited the set of ‘Anikulapo’ Season 2, where filming is underway with the involvement of Ghanaian actors.

“This marks a groundbreaking collaboration between the National Film Authority of Ghana and renowned filmmaker Kunle Afolayan. The partnership is expected to enhance the visibility of Ghanaian talent in the international film industry and promote cultural exchange through this exciting Netflix series,” said Asantewa Asante.

She also called for more partnerships between the Nigerian and Ghanaian film industries to further boost collaboration and cultural exchange.

The partnership between Afolayan and Ghana’s Film Authority is expected to bring fresh opportunities for talent and foster a closer connection between the two nations’ entertainment sectors.
