Kidnapped Oyo hotelier, wife, others regain freedom after ransom
Following the payment of an alleged undisclosed amount of money, an Ibadan-based hotelier identified as Mr. Oyedokun Oyeniyi and his wife, Busayo, have regained their freedom.
The Punch reported that the seven other members of their family who were recently abducted were also released alongside the couple on Tuesday.
Oyeniyi and his family fell victim to the kidnappers last Saturday while preparing for a burial ceremony before their unfortunate abduction at a hotel in Ajaawa, near Ogbomoso town in Oyo State.
Although the amount paid as ransom was not disclosed, the kidnappers were said to have made a demand of N32 million as ransom.
“Yes, they have been released, please,” Oyo State Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Adewale Osifeso, confirmed.
