Actress Akindoju slams Nigerian varsity over ‘no underwear, no entry’ policy issued to female students
Winner of the Future Awards 2010 Actor of the Year, Kemi ‘Lala’ Akindoju, has reacted to the underwear policy put in place in a Nigerian university.
The management of Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku, declared a ‘no bra, no entry, no pants, no entry’ policy for female students and staff.
A video shared online a few days ago shows female students standing outside the school gate after they were denied entry for not wearing underwear.
Security guards were stationed at the school entrance to check anyone whose dressing was not in line with the policy.
Reacting, actress Lala Akindoju slammed the policy, describing it as ‘ridiculous.’
She then asked if the “madness” is only targeted at female students or if they are also checking male students to see if they are wearing underwear.
