Kebbi lawmaker to marry off 100 female orphans
House of representatives member, Sani Yakubu Noma, who represents Argungu/Augie Federal Constituency of Kebbi State, has announced plans to marry off 100 female orphans as part of his contributions to their welfare.
According to Daily Trust, Noma made the announcement during a press briefing in his hometown in the Argungu area of Kebbi State.
He stated that the marriage ceremony will take place at the Palace of the Emir of Argungu, Alhaji Sama’ila Muhammad Mera, on Saturday.
“A committee has been set up to ensure the successful implementation of the event. The selected orphans are from the two local government areas that I represent in the National Assembly,” Noma explained.
“I have already procured beds, mattresses, essential furniture, and other matrimonial items for the beneficiaries,” he added.
