The Kano State Fire Services have said fire has razed 37 shops at Zawaciki area of Kumbotso Local government in Kano.

Speaking to News Agency of Nigeria, the spokesman of the fire services,Alhaji Saminu Abdullahi said that the fire occurred around 1:37am on Wednesday.

He said “We received a distress call at about 01:37am from one Malam Baba that there was a fire outbreak in the area and we quickly mobilized our personnel to put out the fire at about 1:47am

So far,no life was lost but about 37 shops on the ground floor of a multipurpose hall were affected.”

Abdullahi added that three other shops were slightly damaged from the fire and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
