American streamer Kai Cenat has revealed that he tried to help Nigerian content creator Carter Efe obtain a United States visa for Streamer University. However, the effort did not succeed.
In an Instagram post shared by Pulse Nigeria, Cenat disclosed that he had been working with Carter Efe to resolve the visa issue. This happened before the programme began.
“Oh, also, I was trying to get Carter Efe his visa. I was working with him, and it wasn’t able to happen,” he said.
Cenat made the disclosure while addressing participants at Streamer University. He confirmed that he knew about Carter Efe’s struggle to travel to the United States for the programme.
The statement comes after Carter Efe publicly appealed for assistance when his visa failed to come through before the event.
The Nigerian entertainer had called on his followers to tag prominent figures, including Seyi Tinubu, as he sought help to travel to the US. He wanted to participate in Cenat’s creator programme.
However, his public appeal attracted mixed reactions online. While some supporters urged authorities to help him, others warned that the video could harm his chances of obtaining a visa.
Canada-based Nigerian doctor and social commentator Dr Zo had also advised Carter Efe to delete the appeal video. He argued that US immigration officials could interpret it as a sign of desperation.
Dr Zo said political influence could not guarantee a visa and encouraged the entertainer to follow the formal application process.
Cenat’s latest comment now confirms that efforts took place behind the scenes to help Carter Efe. However, they did not produce the desired outcome.
Streamer University brings content creators together for training, collaboration and entertainment-focused activities under Cenat’s guidance.
Despite missing the programme, Carter Efe has continued to receive support from fans. These fans hope he will secure another opportunity to work with Cenat in the future.
