The 39 students who were abducted from the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation have cried out to the government to come to their rescue.

This is just as the kidnappers reportedly made a N500 million ransom demand for the release of students.

Recall that 39 students, including 23 females and 16 males, were abducted from their school in the Mando Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Friday.

One of the students identified as Benson Emmanuel spoke on behalf of others and raised the alarm regarding the health conditions of his colleagues.

“We’re pleading on the government to come and rescue us. Most of us here have been badly injured, time is going. Most of us here are having health issues and they’re complaining about the government trying to send (troops) to come and rescue us.

“They have surrounded us saying if there is a rescue attempt, they’re going to take our lives. We’re pleading to the government to come now that is early,” Emmanuel said.
