The Lagos Peoples Democratic Party has announced the death of its State Secretary, Prince Muiz Dosunmu Shodipe.

His sudden demise was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by Barrister Taofik Gani, the party’s spokesperson.

Gani, however, declined to disclose further information.

Nigeria Tribune reports that Shodipe, who has been nursing an undisclosed ailment for a while, died in Lagos on Wednesday morning.

While mourning the passing of the politician, the Peoples Democratic Party described his passing away as one death too much for the party.

In the statement, the party directed that her flags all over Lagos be flown at half-mast and special prayers held for the departed at all her meetings statewide.

The party further said that it feared the death of Shodipe, described as a dogged secretary, might slow the re-engineering of PDP in the state

“The Lagos State PDP also prays for the family to have the fortitude to bear the monumental loss,” the statement said.

Meanwhile, the family is yet to announce his burial arrangements.
