An alleged thief and rapist has been beaten to death by an angry mob in Calabar, Cross River State after he allegedly robbed and raped a girl on Christmas day.
Two other members of his gang are said to have escaped the mob.
The incident is said to have occurred in the early hours of Wednesday along Ekong Etta Street by Okoro Agbor as eyewitnesses revealed the girl’s scream attracted people who came to her rescue after she had been robbed and raped.
