Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, has stated that it would be a tragedy for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to lose the 2027 presidential election, warning that such an outcome could derail the ongoing reform agenda of the current administration.

Speaking during an interview on Politics Today on Channels Television, Keyamo emphasized the importance of Tinubu securing a second term in office, describing it as essential for the full implementation and completion of his reform policies.

“Every single APC member in Nigeria today should be concentrating on the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu irrespective of whether it affects your personal interest or not because he does need a second term to fully finish up all these reforms,” Keyamo said.

“It will be tragic for any government to come in 2027 and stop all these reforms.”

He argued that Nigeria has repeatedly suffered from policy disruptions caused by the lack of continuity between successive administrations, a pattern he believes must be avoided going forward.

“This is what has happened in the past when you had all the inchoate policies that were implemented,” he added.

Keyamo called on all members of the All Progressives Congress to prioritize the party’s electoral strategy ahead of the 2027 general elections, stressing that the stakes are not just political but critical to national development.
