Bashir Ahmad, one of President Muhammadu Buhari’s special aides, has written to pull out of a seminar which also has Idris Okuneye (popularly called Bobrisky) as one of the guest speakers.

The pair alongside two others had been scheduled to speak to an audience of youths at the new media, citizens and governance conference in Abuja, but Ahmad said that the calls and messages he has received have made him change his mind on attending the event.
Below is the message sent by Bashir Ahmad:

Bobrisky is a young Nigerian whose popularity stems from his fight against those discriminating against same sex engagement and marriage, hence the call by Nigerians that Ahmad, Buhari’s special adviser on new media, should not attend the seminar.
Nigerians have also reacted to the report ever since. While some were praising Ahmad for taking such a decision, several others were saying there was no big deal about having to speak on the same platform as Bobrisky.
