I was beaten with a stick, slapped and thrown on the ground by Mr Boniface Anosike. I went to his house to ask him to effect a correction on a receipt he gave me after I paid for a container space where I sell the market.
“He collected the receipt from me, tore it, went inside, only to come out with a stick and started beating me. He slapped me and hit my buttocks on the grounds. Two persons came and rescued me. I was shouting, running and was begging him not to kill me but he vowed to deal with and also deal with my husband who he mocked of being a disabled.
“As I speak, I can hear with one of ears owing to what he did to me. I feel serious pains inside and my hand is badly affected. I have been in the hospital here. I am calling on the Government to avenge me. I want him punished.”
When contacted, the accused refused to comment and hung up.
A family source, however, said that the matter had been reported at the Isiala Mbano Divisional Police Headquarters.
