Europa: Ighalo becomes first Nigerian to score for Man United in 5-0 rout of Club Brugge
Odion Ighalo became the first Nigerian to score for Manchester United as the Red Devils beat Club Brugge comfortably in the Europa League Round of 32 second leg match on Thursday night.
Bruno Fernandes converted yet another penalty for Manchester United after Simon Deli’s handball saw him dismissed.
Odion Ighalo, who started his first game for United then scored his first for the club, turning home Juan Mata’s driven cross after a well worked move.
Scott McTominay, who also started his first game since returning from injury, added a third to all but put the tie beyond doubt.
Anthony Martial was not included in the squad tonight after suffering a fresh injury setback.
