Igboho who was arrested alongside his wife, Ropo, last Monday night while trying to fly to Germany at the Cardinal Bernardin International Airport, Cotonou, has been remanded in the custody of Brigade Criminelle in Cotonou pending the submission of charges by the Nigerian Government.

Speaking while addressing newsmen at the Polling Unit 019 Ward 08, Ikoyi II, where he cast his vote during the Local Government/Council Areas election on Saturday, Sanwo-Olu who was quizzed about the presumed silence of South West governors on the arrest of Igboho noted that some stakeholders in the region are “working behind the scenes,” according to The PUNCH.

Sanwo-Olu said, “These are very difficult times for all of us. I can assure you that people are working behind the scenes.
