Ideye, Neymar, Coutinho, others send touching condolences to victims of Colombia plane crash
Super Eagles striker, Brown Ideye, Barcelona star striker, Neymar and Liverpool midfielder, Philippe Coutinho are among football stars who have paid touching tribute to the victims of today’s devastating plane crash in Columbia.
According to Colombia aviation authorities, the plane crashed in the early hours of Tuesday, November 29, 2016, killing 76 people from 81 people on board. Five people reportedly survived the crash.
Among the victims were players from Brazilian club Chapecoense, who were on their way to contest the final of the Copa Sudamericana against Columbia’s Atletico Nacional.
Reports say the jet split in two when it crashed in mountains at around 10pm local time (3am UK time), just before it was due to land at Medellin Airport.
