A man who spent seven years writing the examination set by the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board, JAMB, has revealed that he graduated with a First Class.
According to the man identified as Jamie, he would have given up on the pursuit of higher education if not for his mother.
He shared on Twitter:
“The day you lose hope is the day you stop living. I registered for Jamb 7 times & secured admission on my 6 sitting. Almost gave up but for my mom. I eventually graduated as the best student in my class ( current CGPA: 4.53) as i await NYSC. I hope to share my story someday.”
One Twitter user, @cissyeko responded:
“Your story is so inspiring. Thank you for sharing it. Glad you had a mother who supported you through it all and congratulations on your amazing score. 4:53 that is awesome! Best wishes as you journey through.”
Jamie replied:
“She’s been a blessing to me and that kick in my *ss. You are welcome and thank you too.”
