How to avoid incessant Lagos traffic – Twitter user

Published

A Twitter user, @urPapaDeyCraze, has taken to the platform to give a breakdown of what likely causes traffic in Lagos.

It’s no longer news in Lagos that traffic has become worse than heartbreak as you can’t even leave on time for anything and get to your destination at the stipulated time.

@urPapaDeyCraze to buttress his point made an illustration on a post he made via his Twitter page.

In his post, he opined that people refrain from complaining about traffic as they are the traffic themselves.

According to an Illustration he made via his post, one of the pictures read that 200 persons in 177 cars are stuck on the road.

The second shows that there are 200 persons still stuck on the road but without cars.

The third post shows that there are three buses on the road and all 2oo persons fit into it.

In conclusion, he made a fourth post that showed a light train accommodating the same 200 persons.

In other words, if the Nigerian Government can get one light train or more to convey over 200 persons, there would be fewer cars on the road thereby decongesting the road.

See Tweet below;

His post garnered a lot of reactions online as many blamed the Nigerian Government for the incessant traffic. Some others said that their wealth cannot go unannounced hence the need to have so many cars on the road.

One Twitter user @lucaz64611641 wrote;

“I hope the Lagos state government is seeing this. Instead of constructing more roads around Lagos, light train is the solution to incessant traffic.How it is taking lagos ages to build a rail linking mailnad/Island is still a mystery in this 21st century.”

Another Twitter user @AlagbaKenneth wrote;

“That is what China uses to do rehearsal in 6 months, but ordinary rehab of 3rd mainland bridge took years & shifting cultivation dates.”

“Our construction firms are well over entitled, but many deliver substandard finishing”.

@empopson wrote;

“We lack infrastructural planning to effect these kinda changes. Light train that Lagos State had embarked on for over 10 years is still under construction. we never ready to be developed”

Meanwhile, one Twitter user, @_feranme blamed it on excess wealth. He wrote; ”

Okay but how will people know that I have money.”
