Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Toyin Abraham, has opened up about the emotional ordeal of losing a pregnancy while working on a movie, revealing that Pastor Bolaji Idowu provided both spiritual and financial assistance during the difficult period.

Abraham shared the experience at the Bestie Jesu Concert 2026, held in Lagos on Saturday, where she spoke about the miscarriage and the circumstances surrounding her medical treatment.

According to the actress, she was almost four months pregnant when she lost the pregnancy while on a movie set. She said the experience left her emotionally devastated even as she continued dealing with her professional commitments.

“I was 4 months, but I lost it. But guess what, I was filming, so I was down,” she said.

Abraham explained that she initially hesitated to contact her parents because she was concerned about informing her aged mother about the loss.

“I didn’t want to call my parents; you know how it is that you don’t want to… my parents, my mom is old, and I didn’t want to call my mom,” Abraham stated.

She said she eventually informed her husband, who was away from her at the time, before deciding to seek help from Pastor Bolaji Idowu of Harvesters International Christian Centre.

“I just told my husband, but that day he was far away, and guess who I called? I just called Pastor Bolaji. He just started praying, and he said, ‘Where are you?’ I said, ‘I’m on my way to the hospital,’” she said.

Abraham further disclosed that she informed the cleric that doctors had scheduled her for an evacuation procedure following the miscarriage. She said Pastor Bolaji subsequently sent her millions of naira to assist with the medical expenses.

“He said, ‘What’s going to happen?’ I said, ‘They want to do an evacuation.’ And Pastor Bolaji sent me millions,” she said.

Reflecting on the support she received during the challenging period, Abraham expressed appreciation to the pastor for coming to her aid.

“Thank you so much, Pastor Bolaji. God bless you.”
