The multi-millionaire co-founder of e.l.f. Cosmetics, Scott-Vincent Borba, is set to be ordained as a Catholic priest on Saturday, May 23, 2026.

The ordination Mass will be officiated by Joseph Brennan at St. Charles Borromeo Church.

The ceremony marks a major turning point for the 50-year-old former business executive, who has chosen a path of religious devotion within the Diocese of Fresno after years in the corporate world.

Before entering religious life, Borba built a successful career in the beauty industry and worked with major brands including Neutrogena and Hard Candy. Despite his financial success, he said he struggled with a deep sense of spiritual dissatisfaction.

Reflecting on his former lifestyle in Hollywood, Borba admitted, “I was a poster boy for luxury. I was living for myself. I was idolising myself.”

According to the former beauty entrepreneur, his decision to become a priest is tied to a promise he made to God at the beginning of his professional journey.

“God gave me the grace to scream out to Him, ‘Father, please help me achieve some of my dreams. And upon achieving those, I will give you back my life and service,” Borba recalled.

Borba revealed that his transition into religious life required him to give up his wealth and luxury possessions, including high-end vehicles such as his Aston Martin, before entering the seminary at the age of 42.

After years of theological studies and outreach work with homeless individuals, Borba said he has discovered a level of fulfilment that material success could not provide.

“With everything the world can give me, I would give it back a million times over to be united to Jesus,” he said.
