An Okada rider was on Saturday crushed by an unidentified driver at the Iwo Road, Ojoo axis of Ibadan the Oyo State capital.

According to reports, the corpse of the yet-to-be-identified man was found lying by the roadside after he was run over by the driver.

According to eyewitnesses, the okada rider was said to have been crushed by an oncoming trailer after an accident that was caused by a private car owner.

The driver reportedly fled the scene leaving the trailer and the dead okada rider behind.

The scene of the accident quickly became hostile as sympathisers were seen holding canes and other items.

They also prevented passers-by from taking photos.
