HE CREATED A FAKE HOSPITAL WEBSITE! Nigerian bags two years jail term for kidney racketeering in India
A court in India has sentenced a Nigerian to two years in jail for kidney racketeering.
The Nigerian was also fined Rs 1 lakh [about N525,768].
37-year-old David Uzoma Ubah, who was arrested in Bengaluru on 4 October 2017, created a fake look-alike website of Fortis Hospital and floated an advertisement asking for kidney donations. He claimed that the donors would be compensated by the hospital itself.

A city police team arrested Ubah from his Bengaluru residence following a complaint from the authorities of the hospital.
The accused posted similar advertisements on another website mentioning a mobile number along with the name of a doctor working with the hospital.
Ubah was arrested alongside his aide, one Ramara Devalaya of Nagenahalli, Bengaluru.
