Unknown gunmen, on Wednesday, killed a 25-year-old man, Sabo Yusuf and abducted his mother and his brother in the Birnin Kudu Local Government Area of Jigawa State.
According to PUNCH, the gunmen stormed the House of one Alhaji Abubakar of Kawo Quarters, in Birnin kudu town, killed one of his sons, and disappeared, with one of his wives and an eight-year-old boy.
The spokesman of Police in the State, ASP Z.I. Aminudeen, confirmed the incident happened at about 0325HRS, at Birnin kudu town, where unknown persons trespassed, attacked and shot one of his Abubakar’s sons on the chest before disappearing, with his wife and another son to an unknown destination.
Aminudeen said the victim was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Birnin Kudu by the police, where he was certified dead by a medical doctor on duty.
He said the police were making frantic efforts to rescue the kidnapped victims and track the fleeing culprits.
However, the Command called on members of the public to be more vigilant, as well as report any suspicious movement of persons to the police for appropriate action.
