A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to celebrity cryptocurrency entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, after he spent weeks in Kuje prison over alleged impersonation of social media commentator Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan.
The development was disclosed by activist and former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore in a statement shared on his official Facebook page on Friday.
According to Sowore, Blord was granted bail on self-recognizance following his arraignment at the court, with the condition that he deposits his international passport.
“Bail has been granted to Linus Williams, popularly known as @mrblordofficial BLORD, on self-recognizance. The court, however, ordered that he deposit his international passport as part of the bail conditions,” Sowore wrote.
Blord had been remanded in prison on April 1, pending further proceedings in the case.
