Gunmen attack immigration office in Abia
Gunmen have reportedly attacked the head office of the Nigeria Immigration Service on the Ubakala axis of Enugu/Port Harcourt Expressway, Abia State.
The attack comes a few hours after the State Criminal Investigation Department of the Abia State Police command was razed by gunmen.
A resident of the area who spoke to The PUNCH said there was a gun duel between the attackers and security operatives in the area.
He said residents panicked as fear had gripped them when the incident happened Saturday evening.
Another resident also confirmed the incident.
Efforts to get officials of the Abia State police command to confirm the incident proved abortive as of the time of filing this report.
