Gelato: Zlatan vs DJ Cuppy, what Twitter thinks

Published

DJ Cuppy Gelato

It is no news that the ‘gelato’ between Zanku master, Zlatan Ibile, and billionaire daughter, DJ Cuppy, has run out of ice with the duo no longer in talking terms.

The cameo relationship which led to the collaboration that birthed the hit song ‘gelato’ which was released on the 15th of August, 2019, arguable one on Cuppy’s best, has been sullied with denial and betrayal from both parties.

Where did it go wrong?

Flashback to three weeks ago when Cuppy revealed that the Lagos Anthem singer booted her from Twitter and WhatsApp. She revealed that he blocked her for ten months (and still counting, by the way) without a valid reason despite being friends.

That would only serve as a tip of the iceberg for Cuppy as Zlatan totally ghosted about having a knowledge of the jockey despite making a hit song that currently has at least 1,072,968 views on Youtube.

When asked what transpired between him and the DJ during an interview, Zlatan interrupted by asking “Is he an artist,” before finally stating that he does not know who that is.

More light, please?

So here is what happened lately: friends from both camps have done little to give us the clearer picture on the ongoing rift between Cuppy as Zlatan.

While Davido’s aide, Afeare Isreal, recently took to Instagram to accuse Cuppy of using Zlatan without a single compensation for his effort in the 2019 hit song, a pal of Cuppy who spoke anonymously to The Punch has since denied Israel’s allegation by saying that the Bolanle singer was taken care of.

So what are fans on Twitter saying?
