FUTMinna dismisses allegations of fake professors
The management of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, in Niger State, has categorically denied the presence of fake professors within its ranks.
Responding to reports circulating on social media alleging that the National Universities Commission had identified approximately 100 fake professors in Nigerian universities, FUT Minna issued a statement to address the specific claims related to the institution.
The deputy director of information, publications, and public relations at FUT Minna, Mrs. Lydia W. Legbo, emphasized the university’s commitment to transparency and integrity in a statement. She stated, “For the record, the management of FUT, Minna wishes to inform the general public that the nine fake Professors: Nurudeen Adenuga, Fauziyyah Adeyemi, Halima Abubakar, Hamdat Olufemi, Hawa Alhassan, Idris Adigun, Jamilu Ahmad, A’isha Bello, and Haroon Akande listed in the news report as professors in FUT, Minna are not staff of the institution.”
Legbo further clarified that these individuals have never been associated with FUT Minna in any capacity. The statement aims to quell any concerns regarding the credibility of the university and its academic staff.
She emphasized, “They have never had any dealing with the university at any point in time, in any capacity whatsoever.” This assertion seeks to distance FUT Minna from the alleged fake professors and reinforce the institution’s dedication to maintaining academic standards.
