Fuel stations protest arrest of tanker drivers, begin strike in Port Harcourt
Filling stations in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, have begun an industrial action.
The fuel stations are protesting the arrest of some tanker drivers and the seizure of their vehicles.
Majority of the filling stations were said to have stopped dispensing fuel to motorists and other consumers since Tuesday night after another tanker was allegedly seized by security agents and the state task force over illegal parking.
WuzupNigeria gathered that Tonnino filling station, Jet and Royal Dynasty on Ada George Road were all shut down.
Also, Eterna filling station located along Peter Odili Road was also shut down, though some fuel attendants were inside, but did not dispense fuel.
