Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, on Sunday hosted members of the Senator Magnus Abe-led Reconciliation Committee of the Rainbow Coalition at the Government House in Port Harcourt.
The visit also included the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Rivers State, Kingsley Chinda, among other political stakeholders.
The engagement was aimed at advancing reconciliation efforts and promoting stronger political collaboration among the various stakeholders within the state.
The meeting followed recent disclosure by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, that a reconciliation committee led by Abe had been established to strengthen the Rainbow Coalition in Rivers State.
Wike, a former governor of Rivers State, had explained that the committee was tasked with reaching out to key stakeholders and promoting unity within the coalition ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The latest engagement highlights the continuing moves by political actors to expand the coalition while resolving differences and accommodating diverse interests across Rivers State.
Fubara received the delegation at the Government House, where he was joined by other stakeholders during the meeting.
