Wild jubilation as Messi arrives in Paris for PSG move

Six-time Ballon d’Or winner, Lionel Messi, has arrived at Le Bourget airport on the outskirts of the French capital ahead of his move to Paris Saint-Germain following his exit from Barcelona after 21-years.

WuzupNigeria reported that Messi agreed on a two-year deal worth £25m per year after tax to join the Parisian club and the 34-year-old will have the option to extend the deal by the third year.

The Parisian club shared a video on its official Twitter handle, confirming the arrival of the Argentine.

According to SkySports, Messi will receive a £25m signing-on fee, coming after he almost signed a new five-year contract at Barcelona.

Messi arrived in Paris earlier on Tuesday to complete his move and has been welcomed by thousands of PSG fans who have been at the airport hours before his arrival.

The Argentine reunites with his former Barcelona teammate, Neymar who has since announced his arrival on his Instagram page.
