Four PDP supporters escape death in autocrash
Four supporters of the People’s Democratic Party in Bayelsa State narrowly escaped death on Sunday after their vehicle was involved in a motor accident along the Ofoni stretch of the Sagbama-Ekeremor road.
The victims were on their way to join the governorship campaigns in Ekeremor Constituency III when their Toyota Camry rammed into the rear of a stationary 911 truck.
The car was badly damaged, but the occupants were rushed to the hospital by sympathisers.
Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State expressed gratitude to God for saving their lives.
In a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant, Mr. Doubara Atasi, the governor described their survival as “God’s miracle and abiding grace upon his administration.”
The governor also commended the hospital management and staff for giving the desired attention to the victims.
